Holiday Happenings: Holiday concerts

-- A holiday concert titled Our Christmas Wish, performed by Forte, is at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at Hanford High School in Richland.

The choir is a division of the Tri-City Youth Choir and made up of Mid-Columbia student voices who call themselves ambassadors for spreading uplifting and inspirational music.

Guest artist for the concert will be Chase Thompson, from the band Good Night Argent. Admission is $7 with tickets at the door or at

-- The Mid-Columbia Mastersingers' annual Christmas concert "Carols & Lullabies of the Southwest" is at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kennewick and at 3 p.m. Dec. 18 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Pasco. Admission is $20 for adults, and all students are free. Tickets are available at the door, or call 460-1766.

-- A Home for the Holidays concert starts at 3 p.m. Dec. 17 at Riverview United Methodist Church, 4012 W. Court St in Pasco. Admission is by donation of dry or canned food that will be donated to the Christian Church food bank.

The concert features a variety of music that will bridge cultural, economic and social boundaries in a diverse celebration of Christmas.

The program includes performances by the Richland School District Honor Choir, the Mid-Columbia Trombone Ensemble, performances by the Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre (formerly RLOC) and soprano Mitzi Lundberg.

-- Ed Dailey & Legends of Country will present a Christmas concert from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Sandberg Events Center and Garden, 331 S. 41st Ave., West Richland.

Performers include Tri-City country singers Shiloh, Cale Moon and Rod Erickson. Admission is by donation of canned food for area food banks. Cash donations also are welcome but not required and will be given to My Friends Place, a teen shelter.

-- A Broadway Christmas, a Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre production, starts at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Red Lion Hotel next to Columbia Center mall, 1101 N. Columbia Center Blvd., Kennewick. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Tickets are available at the door, at or call 591-2584.

The show features a night of Christmas music, complete with eggnog, hot chocolate, cookies and gingerbread.
