Christian hit makers Casting Crowns bring their Come to the Well tour to the Tri-Cities on Oct. 4 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.
Showtime is 7 p.m. Tickets are from $25 to $45 with discounts available for groups of 15 or more. They are available at www.ticketmaster.com or the coliseum box office. Tickets purchased at the box office avoid service charges.
Also appearing on the tour with Casting Crowns will be Sanctus Real, The Afters and Lindsay McCaul.
Casting Crowns have been making sweet noise in the music scene since 1999.
The group is made up of front man Mark Hall along with Megan Garrett on keyboards, Melodee DeVevo on violin, Hector Cervantes on rhythm guitar, Chris Huffman on bass guitar, Juan DeVevo on lead guitar, and Brian Scoggin on drums.
The Christian rock band has earned a plethora of awards including Grammy and American Music awards and 23 Dove Awards, as well as eight chart-topping hit singles on the Billboard music charts.
The band says on its website that it remains focused on "discipleship through music" with its songs. And music critics have described that sound as boldly honest with hard-hitting lyrics.
"Our main purpose, above all else, is to know (God) more," Hall said. "Until the whole world hears, those simple words are a challenge to be intentional with the way we live our lives."
There is a story behind every one of Casting Crowns' songs that Hall is certain anyone can relate to.
Hall was a youth pastor before forming the band in 1999. He still provides youth ministry when he isn't touring.
Hall's songwriting makes up the majority of the band's hit songs, and he was responsible for most of writing on their latest album, Come to the Well, which he describes as passionate and thought-provoking.
"Our songs have always come from our ministry in the church," Hall said. With God's fingerprints all over them, he added.
