Musical history topic of Oregon museum exhibit

The Oregon History Museum has added a new exhibit to its halls that will give visitors an inside look at the state's diverse musical history.

The exhibit, titled Oregon Rocks: A History of Popular Music in Oregon, will feature tidbits on such vintage rockers as Paul Revere & the Raiders and The Kingsmen.

The exhibit is open through Jan. 15 at the historical society museum, 1200 S.W. Park Ave., in downtown Portland. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Admission is $11 for adults, $9 for college students and seniors, $5 ages 6 to 18 and free for ages 5 and younger.
