The Ben Franklin Transit will once again provide shuttle service to the Columbia Cup hydroplane races.
There will be no shuttle service to the Pasco viewing side of the river this year, said Christy Watts, a spokeswoman for the transit company.
Race fans can hitch a ride to Columbia Park on July 29-30 with buses picking up riders in front of Keewaydin Park on Dayton Street in Kennewick starting at 8 a.m. and dropping them off at Columbia Park up until 3 p.m. The last pickup from Columbia Park on those days will be at 6 p.m.
Cost is $1.25 one way for adults and 80 cents for seniors, ages 18 and younger and Dial-A-Ride patrons. Kids age 5 and younger ride free.
On race day, July 31, buses will provide shuttle service to and from Columbia Park from the Huntington Transit Center, off Kennewick Avenue, and from the Knight Street Transit Center, at Goethals Avenue in Richland.
Shuttles leave on the hour between 8 and 11 a.m., and depart from Columbia Park about 15 minutes after the last race of the day. There also will be early shuttle service from Columbia Park between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 31.
July 31 fares are $1.25 each way or $3.50 each way for families of 3 or more.
