The outdoor Ritzville Blues Festival is July 9 in downtown Ritzville.
Headlining the 28th annual event will be Curtis Salagdo, Grammy-winning Zydeco band Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band.
Also appearing will be Devin Selfe & the Tornadoes, Sammy Eubanks, Laffin' Bones, Ty Curtis Band, Big Mumbo Blues Band, John Nemeth and Rick Estrin & the Nightcats.
A kickoff party is planned from 7 to 9 p.m. July 8 at the fairgrounds in Ritzville. There will be live music and dancing in grass, then visitors can catch a free shuttle into the historic downtown area of Ritzville for more music and dancing going on at the town's local watering holes.
The music festival gates open at 9 a.m. July 9 with music starting at 10 a.m. and continuing on into the late evening. Food and craft vendors also will be on site.
Admission is $30 in advance or $38 at the gate. Discount tickets are available for ages 13-20. Tickets can be ordered online at ritzvillebluesfestival.com, or at these business outlets:

RV camping passes also are available for one, two or three nights at a cost of $25 per night. The camp sights include water and electricity. Regular camping is $15 a night.
