The Ugandan Orphans Choir performs several concerts around the Mid-Columbia and three in the Tri-Cities this month.
The first Tri-City concert is at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at Richland Lutheran Church, 901 Van Giesen St.
Admission is free to all concerts, but donations are welcome.
Each of the 10 young singers has a story to tell about how their lives have changed through the power of education, which was provided through the Childcare Worldwide organization sponsorship program.
The concert includes dramatic drumming, high energy dancing and melodic harmonies as the children sing the traditional folk songs of their country.
The choir has performed in churches and schools all over the country, including Disneyland and the Seattle Seahawks home base Quest Field.
The children range in age from 8 to 12.
