COMEDY: Paula Poundstone to perform in Yakima

Comic Paula Poundstone will be performing in Yakima in April.

The comedian has made numerous appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, Sesame Street, To Tell The Truth and Comic Relief.

She won an EMMY Award for her field pieces on PBS’s Life & Times and is also the author, along with her high school math teacher, Faye Ruopp, of three math textbooks for children published by Heinemann Press: The Sticky Problem of Parallelogram Pancakes, Venn Can We Be Friends? and You Can’t Keep Slope Down. She’s published several magazine articles and for five years wrote a back-page column in Mother Jones.

In 2009 she released her first comedy CD: I HEART JOKES: Paula Tells Them In Maine.

Poundstone will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 30 at The Seasons Performance Hall, 101 N. Naches Ave., Yakima. Doors open at: 6:30 p.m.

Cost is $35 in advance, $38.50 day of show. Tickets will be available beginning Jan. 21 from The Seasons Box Office. More information at 509-453-1888.
