The Battelle Film Club presents The Cove, which will be shown at 8 p.m. Jan. 7 in the Battelle Auditorium, on Battelle Boulevard off George Washington Way in Richland.
Admission is $3 at the door.
The documentary follows a team of activists, filmmakers and freedivers who embark on a covert mission to penetrate a remote and hidden cove in Taiji, Japan, where they discover a small seaside village that serves as a horrifying microcosm of massive ecological crimes occurring.
The film, rated PG-13, won the Academy Award for best documentary in 2009.
