PROSSER -- Get into the Christmas spirit by strolling through downtown Prosser to see decorated storefronts, shopping at an annual holiday market and watching free Christmas movies at the historic Princess Theatre.
Most of Prosser's downtown shops will be using their storefronts to compete to see who can come up with the coolest Christmas-themed show window.
"The participating businesses have put up holiday displays in their windows that will be judged by the Historic Downtown Prosser Association board," said Candace Andrews, one of the event's organizers. "The displays will be judged on creativity, uniqueness and tourist attractiveness."
After checking out the elaborate storefront, head over to the Princess Christmas Market festival, which is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 18 in The Green Room at the Princess Theatre, 1228 Meade Ave. The event features one-of-a-kind, handcrafted gifts and specialty foods.
