Pianist Calvin Taylor performs a selection of sacred music Nov. 20 at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 7105 W. 10th St., Kennewick.
He'll have two performances at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
Taylor is noted for his unusually large hand span on a keyboard, which can cover one and a half octaves. He learned to play the piano by ear at age 5, then began formal lessons at age 7. By the time he turned 14 he was the lead organist for his church, and in high school he was a member of the Los Angeles Junior Philharmonic and Southwest Youth Symphony.
