4 mixed media artists featured at CBC gallery

The mixed media art exhibition featuring the work of four artists opens Nov. 1 at the Esvelt Gallery on the Columbia Basin College campus in Pasco.

Featured artists are Diem Chau, a Vietnam native now living in Seattle whose specialty is embroidery on silk organza then mounted on white dishware; Betty Vera from New York creates large scale jacquard tapestries; Anita West, an American artist living in the Arabian desert, takes her creativity from the indigenous patterns of the Middle East and turns that into pen and ink drawings; Cianne Fragione, from Washington D.C., specializes in abstract mixed media paintings that combine graphite, pastels, oils, gouache, pencil, ink and collage.

Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays. Admission is free.
