Author to sign books at Prosser museum June 19

Prosser native and author Paul Fridlund, who now lives in Puyallup, will have a book signing and give a free lecture about his writing career starting at 1 p.m. June 19 at the Benton County Historical Museum in downtown Prosser.

Fridlund was a former editor at the Grandview Herald before he moved to the west side of the state where he is now a teacher.

He is the author of the book, 1051: A POW's Remarkable Journey Through WWII, a historical account of Prosser resident Millard Hileman's horrific imprisonment and escape from Bataan in the Philippines. He also penned the historical books The World of Charles Wilder, Going Back, 1910-1920, and Changing Times.
