Sportsmen show returns

The 17th annual Tri-Cities Sportsmen Show features daily fishing and hunting seminars and demonstrations on everything from casting and dutch oven cooking to a 3-D archery range.

The show is Jan. 15-17 at TRAC in Pasco.

Vendors, outfitters and guides and local and regional outdoor organizations also will staff booths during the show, which again will have a display of Northwest big game trophy antlers.

Events for kids include the lunker lake fishing pond, where kids can catch cash prizes, a free air rifle range and a balloon shoot where they can learn how to shoot a bow.

Cee Dub Welch will talk about Dutch Oven cooking each day, while fly fishing experts daily will discuss patterns. And Skip Morris and Paul Anderson will demonstrate fly casting.

Guides Bob Adkinson, Bruce Hewitt and Shane Magnuson will share some of their fishing knowledge, while author Wayne von Zwoll will talk hunting techniques.

Hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Jan. 15, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 16 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 17. General admission is $7 for adults, $3.50 for kids 6-12 and kids under 6 are free. One-time daily admission will get you in all three days.

On Jan. 15 those 60 and up can get in for $3.50, while Jan. 17 is family day, where two adults and two kids ages 6-12 are admitted for $17.
