Art and Wine fundraiser set Feb. 7 at St. Joseph's
The Golden Age of Hollywood is the theme of this year's fundraiser for St. Joseph's Catholic Church and School in Kennewick. The wine, microbrew and food tasting event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 7 in St. Joseph's Dillon Hall.
Seven caterers -- Castle Catering, Henry's, Carmine's, Casa Mia, The Barrel House Café & Wine Bar, Yoke's Fresh Market and Chocolate Indulgence -- will be serving tasty tidbits to pair up with the wines and brews. There will be live music, arts and crafts for sale and both a silent and live auction.
Nonalcoholic beverages also will be available.

Hedges featured winery at Ice Harbor dinner
Benton City's Hedges Family Estate will be the featured winery at the Feb. 9 and 10 Wine and Dine events at the Marina at Ice Harbor Brewery at the Marina, 350 Clover Island Drive, Kennewick.
The meal begins at 6 p.m. with a crab bisque appetizer. The entree is grilled salmon with herb mayonnaise sauce served with Roasted Asparagus Parmigiano and Crawfish and Andouille Bread Pudding. Dessert is a Raspberry Chocolate Brownie. Each course is paired with a Hedges wine.

Cooking class focuses on Valentine's Day dinner
PROSSER -- Join Chef Frank Magana of Prosser's Picazo 717 in the kitchen at Desert Wind Winery in Prosser on Feb. 4.
Beginning at 6 p.m. he'll demonstrate some romantic dinner classics including Chateaubriand, lobster tails, Duchess potato tartlets and strawberries jubilee. Cost is $45 per person which includes the class, dinner and two glasses of wine.

Chocolatier to give cooking demonstration
PROSSER -- Chocolatier Kim Biehler will give free cooking demonstrations at Prosser's Desert Wind Winery on Feb. 14-15. She'll be in the winery kitchen at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. You'll also have a chance to sip free samples of five of the winery's vintages.

Whine, brew cheese event set in Kennewick
Help homeless dogs and cats find homes, enjoy good food and tasty wines/brews and take a chance on winning some prizes at the Whine, Brew and Cheese fundraiser Feb. 15 at Backbone Panini and Wine Bar, 114 W. Kennewick Ave.
The event is a fundraiser for Pet Over Population Prevention, an all volunteer, non-profit group that finds homes for homeless pets and assists with spaying and neutering.
Cost is $25 and includes two glasses of beer/wine, panini sandwiches and appetizers and beer and wine tasting. The featured wine and beer are produced by Hightower Cellars and Ice Harbor Brewery.
A variety of gift baskets and merchandise will be given as prizes including a framed print of a mastiff, a basket featuring a George Foreman Grill and two baskets of gourmet dog treats.
The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. with the drawings for prizes at 3:30 p.m. You don't have to be present to win.
