Allied Arts holding series of Holiday Open Houses
The Allied Arts Gallery will hold a series of Holiday Open House events starting Nov. 16 at the Richland gallery.
The open houses will be from 1 to 4 p.m. each Sunday until Dec. 21 and will feature a wide range of fine arts and crafts, many with holiday themes.

There is no admission fee to the gallery at 89 Lee Blvd.
Regular hours are from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Radio show changing venues
The Mary Lou and Stevie Radio Show will no longer broadcast live from Bookwalter Winery in Richland, as the winery has changed its Wednesday night entertainment lineup.
The duo moved its show to the Red Lion Hotel at Columbia Center, which will air live on KONA at the same time from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday.
Mary Lou Gnoza and Steve Haberman will continue to perform periodically at Bookwalter.
Christmas Market coming to Dayton
DAYTON -- The historic Dayton Depot will hold its annual Christmas Market at the Depot on Nov. 28-29.
The event kicks off the holiday season and includes a museum full of arts and craft booths, musical entertainment, homemade candies, holiday decorations and a visit from Santa.
There is no admission to the Depot on those two days. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 28 with photos with Santa from 3 to 7 p.m. Then on Nov. 29, the hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Santa photos happening from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Walla Walla Symphony planning family night
WALLA WALLA -- The Walla Walla Symphony will hold a Family Concert Night starting at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 in Cordiner Hall at Whitman College.
Music to be performed includes Haydn's Piano Concerto in G Major, American the Beautiful and Tubby the Tuba performed by guest tuba soloist Torrey Lawrence.
Lawrence will be joined by pianist Carson Schmidt and narrator Kevin Loomer.
Admission to the concert is by donation of a nonperishable food item from each person attending, which will be distributed to area food banks.
Shakespeare actors to perform Nov. 15
College Place -- Actors from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland will perform a selection of The Bard's work starting at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Walla Walla University in College Place.

Umatilla kicking off festival Nov. 28
Umatilla -- The Umatilla County Fair's annual Festival of Lights and Bazaar begins Nov. 28 and continues through Dec. 20 at the Umatilla Fairgrounds.
The festival features rides through the fairgrounds to view thousands of Christmas lights and decorations.
Hours are from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 5 to 8 p.m. Sundays, weather permitting.
A kickoff parade is planned at 6 p.m. Nov. 28. The holiday event also features carriage rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, photos with Santa and music.
