Balloons and a feast of harvest gatherings are planned Sept. 26-28 at Prosser's annual Balloon Rally and Harvest Festival.

The skies will be lush with colorful balloons all three days with plenty of arts and crafts and food booths, musical entertainment and more.

Most events happen at the corner of Sixth Street and Meade Avenue in downtown Prosser, including a street-painting exhibition.

The balloons will be tethered at the Prosser Airport with a Night Glow planned Sept. 27 at Art Fiker Stadium near the airport.

The cadre of hot air balloons will rise each day at 6:15 a.m. for a quiet ride over the rolling hills of the Lower Valley.

The Harvest Festival events take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 27 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 28.

Entertainment includes a dance demonstration by Kim Stock and her Tri-City Tappers. Other scheduled entertainment includes the Broadway Babes, Zillah Swing Kids, Bram Brata steeldrum band, Diamond Ridge Cloggers, Prosser School of Ballet, singer Adrianne Bousquet and musicians Kevin Cravins and Vicky Parker.

There is no admission to the Balloon Rally or Harvest Festival. A complete schedule of events will be available at the information booth at the center of downtown.
