Olympic gold medalist and Tri-City native Hope Solo will make a guest appearance Sept. 27 at Richland's annual City Fair.
Solo, who helped the U.S. women's soccer team win the gold medal at this summer's Olympics, will sign autographs from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
Solo also will sign autographs at a public ceremony in her honor at 3 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Hampton Inn in Richland.
City Fair is open to all Mid-Columbia residents and also celebrates Richland's 50th anniversary. Hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 27 with most activities happening outdoors on the city hall campus at George Washington Way and Swift Boulevard.

Festivities include informational booths where residents can learn more about municipal services, programs, equipment, activities and other projects.
There is no admission fee to City Fair, which also includes various displays and demonstrations for all ages as well as tours of the Richland Fire Station.
There will be a gift exchange ceremony at 10:30 a.m. with an eight-person delegation from Richland's Sister City of Hsinchu City, Taiwan.
The Richland Public Library Drill Team, dressed in poodle skirts and other 1950s attire, perform a vintage routine carrying over-sized library books at 11 a.m. and noon.
Other festivities include CORKIE the Robot greeting City Fair visitors at 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., and there will be a live game show called "What's My Line Richland," where the contestants will be chosen from City Fair attendees. That show will be at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
