Harvest Festival gets goin' Sept. 20

The annual Harvest Festival kicks off at 11 a.m. Sept. 20 at Flat Top park in West Richland.

The event features a farmers market, kids games, musical entertainment, a hot dog and hamburger barbecue, arts and crafts, informational booths, face painting and a plethora of other fun stuff.

About every 45 minutes throughout the day, there will be games (balloon toss, 3-legged race, sack race, etc.) in the soccer field for all ages.

Admission is free.

Here's the schedule of events:

11 a.m.-4 p.m. — Activities for kids, variety of musical entertainment.

11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. — Lunch served by the Benton County Fire District No. 4 firefighters.

Entertainment schedule:

Noon — Bram Brata steeldrum band performs on the basketball court.

12:30 p.m. — Dance Factory exhibition in the pavilion.

1 p.m. — OK2Botay steeldrum band performs on the basketball court.

1:30 p.m. — King's Theatre mime troupe performs in the pavilion.
