PENDLETON -- The Oregon East Symphony's 2008-09 season kicks off in October with a thrilling classical ride from Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 4.
All the concerts will be in the Vert Auditorium, 400 S.W. Dorian St.
The symphony features five regular-season concerts and two extra, off-season concerts.
Season tickets cost $56 for adults, $46 for seniors and $180 for families.

Individual tickets to each performance cost from $16 to $20 for adults, from $13 to $17 for seniors, and from $4 to $8 for children.
Here's a look at the regular season schedule:
-- Oct. 4: The music of composers Tchaikovsky, Dvorak and Bloch, 7:30 p.m.
-- Nov. 16: Stars of Tomorrow concert featuring the winners from OES's annual 2008 Young Artists Competition and the music of Chopin, Schumann and Brahms, 3:15 p.m.
-- March 1: Music from Mahler's Symphony No. 5, 3:15 p.m.
-- April 18: Mozart's Requiem and Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, 7:30 p.m.
Special event concerts:
-- Oct. 12: Broadway Hits Revue, 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 S.W. Dorion St., Pendleton.
-- Dec. 5: Holiday Music Festival, 7:30 p.m. in the Vert Auditorium.
