MONUMENT, Ore. -- City Park comes alive this weekend with the first of a series of concerts planned in the townships of Monument and Athena.
The mix of music during the Summer Pops Concert Series includes compositions from Pirates of the Caribbean, Brigadoon, Pink Panther, Under the Sea, Bugler's Holiday and a medley of James Taylor tunes.
"Audiences really enjoyed Pirates of the Caribbean the last time we performed," said R. Lee Friese, music director and conductor for Inland Northwest Musicians group. "This repertoire of musical compositions has something that everyone will recognize and enjoy."
Showtimes are 4 p.m. Saturday at Monument's City Park and 4 p.m. Sunday at City Park in Athena, a few miles away.
