Cost Less Carpet started in the Tri-Cities nearly 12 years ago with a location in Pasco, and has since expanded to include nine stores in four states, with a new location set to open soon.
But while Cost Less Carpet has seen tremendous growth, it hasn’t lost its dedication to providing quality products and customer service.
Coming through the doors at Cost Less Carpet means being greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff member, who will not only help you select the type of flooring or countertop that will work best for you, but will also help you make sure everything coordinates as it should.
Cost Less Carpet may specialize in floor coverings and countertops, but it can also help customers put their projects together, said Jeff Gardner, general manager of the Richland store.
“We don’t just sell materials and wish them luck,” Gardner said. “We can help coordinate everything from paint colors to scheduling the installer to finish the job, and we don’t charge extra for that service.”
Gardner recently had a customer come in looking for hardwood floors, but when he found out they have two large dogs living at home, he worked to steer them toward something a little more pet-friendly — a tile that looks like hardwood, he said.
“We want our customers to recommend us to their friends and family and, of course, the next time they do any form of remodeling or purchase a new house, they’ll think of Cost Less Carpet,” Gardner said.
The store stocks everything from tile to hardwood and natural stone and from area rugs to laminate, Gardner said.
