FATAL: Grandview woman killed in head-on collision on Interstate 82

PROSSER A Grandview woman died early today after her car was hit head-on by another vehicle going the wrong way on Interstate 82 in Benton County near the Yakima County line, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Angelica Barajas, 20, was eastbound on the interstate about 3 a.m. when her 2007 Chrysler 300 was hit head-on by a 2008 Chevrolet pickup driven by Edward E. Castilleja, 49, of Prosser, the patrol said.
Barajas was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle, Stephanie C. Vega, 11, of Grandview, and Castilleja were taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital, the patrol said. Neither was listed as a patient today at the hospital, an official said.
The patrol said drugs or alcohol were believed to be a factor in the accident, which is under investigation.
