Yakima A thick sweat shirt may have offered some protection to the victim of a gang shooting in Yakima.
Police say two small-caliber bullets were recovered from the sweat shirt after the 18-year-old was treated at a Yakima hospital for a minor wound to his right arm.
Police say he was riding with three other people around midnight Tuesday when another car pulled along side and shots were fired. They shattered a side window and hit the victim who was riding in the back seat.
Police say it was a gang shooting, and the victims were wearing gang attire.
