Kennewick woman may be H1N1 death

By the Herald staff

A 40-year-old Kennewick woman may be the second Tri-City death caused by the H1N1 virus.

Becky Lynn Black, an escrow agent for Ben Franklin Title Co., died in Seattle on Oct. 28. She died of complications related to swine flu, according to her obituary.

Dr. Larry Jecha, health officer Benton Franklin Health District, did not return calls Tuesday about her death. Officials with King County Public Health had no information on it and said it would be investigated by Tri-City health officials.

Friends and relatives said they did not yet feel up to talking about her death.

Black, who has a son, had lived in the Tri-Cities for 31 years.
