Burbank woman wanted in counterfeiting case

By Paula Horton, Herald staff writer

A 40-year-old Burbank woman is being sought by Kennewick police for trying to pass a fake $50 bill at a Kennewick store, authorities said.

The suspect went into the Kennewick Cigarette Store, 124 S. Ely St., around 5:20 p.m. Sept. 19 and tried to give the clerk a counterfeit bill, said Detective John Davis.

When the woman was confronted, she left the store in a hurry and drove away in a silver Toyota, he said.

She has since been identified as a past customer but cannot be located for questioning, Davis said Monday.

A warrant was being issued for her arrest.
