Washington State's Joe Bartlett won the discus and the shot put Saturday at the USC Trojan Invitational in Los Angeles.
The senior won the shot put with a throw of 57 feet, 6.25 inches and the discus with a throw of 169-4. Teammate Oliver Henry took second in the discus with a throw of 163-4.
On the track, J Hopkins took third in the 400-meter hurdles in 51.8 seconds, while Shaquana Logan was third in the long jump at 18-7.
Hermiston graduate Mary Barnett threw the shot put 43-5, good for sixth place.
Othello graduates Christine Kirkwood and Courtney Kirkwood Simmons took second and fourth, respectively, in the javelin Friday at the meet.
The Cougars track and field teams return to Los Angeles next Saturday for a double dual meet with Tennessee and UCLA.
