Tyler Davis had his consecutive scoreless innings streak to 22 1/3 before allowing a run Saturday, leading the University of Washington baseball team to a 7-3 win against CSU Bakersfield at Husky Ballpark.
Davis (2-0), a freshman from Mountain View, Calif., was making his second collegiate start after throwing six shutout innings against Oregon last Saturday. Against the Roadrunners, he allowed four hits and didn't allow a runner to reach second base until a seventh-inning home run broke the streak. He struck out seven and walked none.
Chase Anselment and Robert Pehl each had two hits and an RBI to pace the Huskies (14-7) offense.
The teams close out the three-game series at 1 p.m. Sunday.
