Brock Motum scored 25 points to lead the Washington State men's basketball team to a 61-41 victory against visiting Wyoming on Monday in a College Basketball Invitational quarterfinal.
Abe Lodwick added a career-high 16 points for the Cougars, who will travel to Corvallis to face Oregon State (21-14 overall) at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the semifinals. In the other semifinal game, Pittsburgh (19-16) plays Butler (22-14) in Indianapolis. The winner of that game and the WSU-OSU game will meet in a best-of-three series beginning next Monday.
Motum led all scorers with his 25 points, making 9-of-16 field goals and 7-of-8 free throws. He added seven rebounds. Lodwick added seven boards, as the redshirt senior made four 3-pointers and dished out four assists.
