An update on former Walla Walla High School softball ace Hope Klicker:
The 2010 Herald All-Area MVP, who pitched and played first base for the Blue Devils, is making an impact in her freshman season with the College of Charleston Cougars in South Carolina. Klicker has started all 21 games in which she has played and is batting .250 (14-for-56) with five RBIs and one home run.
Also, Klicker is not disappointing in the circle. In 10 appearances, two of them starts, she is 6-4 with a 2.25 ERA and 41 strikeouts.
The Cougars are 12-11 overall and 0-3 in the Southern Conference.
Never miss a local story.
