Washington State men's basketball player Brock Motum was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District 20 first team Wednesday.
He is one of 240 athletes from 24 districts eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-America teams, which will be announced March 20.
Joining Motum on the District 20 first team are California's Jorge Gutierrez, Oregon State's Jared Cunningham, Washington's Terrence Ross and Arizona's Solomon Hill.
This marks the third consecutive season the Cougars have been represented on the first team, as Klay Thompson made it each of the last two seasons. Thompson now plays for the NBA's Golden State Warriors.
Never miss a local story.
Motum, a Brisbane, Australia native, also earned All-Pac-12 first team honors this season. He is the Cougars' leading scorer at 18.3 points, good for 37th in the nation.
He helped lead Washington State to a 89-75 victory at San Francisco on Tuesday in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational.
