Was just doing a little research before heading over to Lampson Stadium for tonight's 7:30 p.m. tilt between Southridge and Kennewick.
Since suffering their only loss of the season to Kamiakin, the Lions have rolled up 732 yards rushing in three games, with Grant Woods getting the bulk of the work (512 yards, 4 TDs).
Southridge is allowing 176 yards a game on the ground, more than all but one team in the CBBN 3A.
Kennewick, meanwhile, ranks first in scoring and yards allowed defensively. However, the Lions have yet to face a big-play team like the Suns with QB Matt Mendenhall, big-play back Chris Haueter and receivers Paul Hamada and Josh Richards.
Never miss a local story.
In the last three games, the Suns have scored eight TDs of 25 yards or more, and five of those have topped 50 yards.
Low socring? Not tonight.
