A trio of wrestlers from the Tri-Cities Wrestling Club wrapped up triple-crown seasons this weekend by winning titles at the Washington State Freestyle Championships in Liberty Lake on Saturday.
Intermediate (age 9-10) wrestlers Jacob Olson and Isaiah H. Gonzalez and schoolboy (age 13-14) competitor Timothy Martinez claimed freestyle titles to add to the Greco-Roman titles they won the previous weekend and the folkstyle (collegiate) earlier this spring.
Martinez won at 112 pounds, while Olson and Gonzalez claimed the 75- and 60-pound crowns. Teammate Alex Brown won the bantam (age 7-8) title at 70 pounds.
Intermediate wrestlers Robby Vaughn (60) and Austin Almaguer (65) both placed second, as did novice (11-12) Riley Gurr at 70 pounds. Novice wrestlers Robert Fiocchi (65) and Cyle Celeon (90) each finished third.

Brandon Chavez (novice, 85), Rece Quintana (novice, 95) and Darion Johnson (bantam, 60) all finished fourth; Tyler Failor (bantam, 45) was fifth; and Cole Grieb (intermediate, 60) and Mikael Failor (intermediate, 80) were seventh.
At the Greco-Roman championships April 30 in Montesano, Gonzalez, Olson and Martinez were joined on the top step of the podium by cadet (age 15-16) Tucker Simonton at 145 pounds and Travis Ayers at 211 1/2 in the open senior division. Vaughn and Almaguer each placed second in the tournament.
