Southridge played host to a dual meet with Pasco on Thursday, and despited the crappy weather and a pre-meet fender bender by one of the throwers, the Southridge boys shot put contingent had five throwers post personal records.
Steve Meyer, whose best this season was 43-6 1/2 before Thursday, won the meet with a throw of 47-6.
Austin Brinkworth, who had been the team's top man until Myer surpassed him, threw 45-10, besting his previous mark of 44-7 1/2.
Caleb Osborne hit 44-3 1/2 on Thursday. His previous best was 43-3 1/2 on March 24.
Never miss a local story.
Cam Harris, who had a season best 35-8 at the Richland Jamboree on March 19, threw 40-11 1/2.
Kyle Fowler, who had a 39-0 1/2 on March 24, improved to 39-8 1/2.
We only ran the winners of the meet in the paper Friday morning, but these five deserved a little more cyber ink.
