It was announced during Friday's game with Kelowna that the Tri-Cities Fever were in attendance.
After the game, the Toyota Center crew was covering the ice, taking down the glass and putting in the artificial turf for today's indoor football game with Fairbanks.
Hopefully the Fever paid attention to the amount of effort and teamwork it takes to be a winner. At 0-3, the Fever need all the help they can get to right their ship.
Americans forward Johnny Lazo said he wanted to check out today's football game. "They were here, I just want to repay the favor," he said.
Lazo, who scored the game-tying goal Friday, might bring the Fever a bit of good luck. Maybe they could have him do the coin toss.
There might still be a little bit of magic left in the building for the Fever to inhale when they take the field. The Americans had an impressive home record this season, going 27-9-0-0 during the regular season and 4-2 in the playoffs, including Friday's 4-3 overtime win.
