Our daily subscribers may have noticed a new featurette nestled between the columns of the scoreboard page: the Mid-Columbia Replay, a day-by-day highlight reel of our area’s shared achievements in the sporting arena.
That gray box has become quite the labor of love for staff members, as each has taken their own turn in flipping through the oversized books in the Tri-City Herald library to seek out tidbits of information which deserve a second chance in the community spotlight.
But we can’t keep all the fun to ourselves.
If any of our readers recall a local sporting event which was significant in some way — a high score, a daring play or just a good old fashioned blowout — drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll see if we can track down your memory in our dusty pages.
Never miss a local story.
And if you want to catch up on the history you may have missed — don’t worry, there’s no quiz forthcoming (as far as we know) — place your cursor on the Mid-Columbia bar directly underneath the SportsTri-Cities.com banner at the top of this page, click the Mid-Columbia link and scroll down through the news for any link that begins “On this day”.
We began this project Sept. 1, so if you start now you’ll catch up to old times in almost no time at all.
