KENNEWICK -- The Kamiakin, Southridge and Hanford gymnastics teams along with Richland junior and 2011 state 4A gymnastics veteran Carly Garland, the sole tumbler for the Bombers, will compete in the CBBN district championships at 6 p.m. today at Garland's Gym in Kennewick.
AUBURN -- Southridge's Kiya Bjorge placed first in the all-around, vault and bar events in the Washington Open Winter Invitational on Saturday at Auburn-Mountainview High School.

RICHLAND -- The Mid Columbia Gymnastics Academy marked its 25th year in business Wednesday and it will play host Saturday to the 2011 Winter Showcase, featuring four sessions of action to kick off the competition season.
KENNEWICK -- Alexis McCallister, a Kamiakin senior and Elite Force Cheer team member, signed a letter of intent with the University of Oregon on Tuesday to compete for the school's Acrobatics & Tumbling program.
PASCO -- Three gymnasts from All-American Gymnastics in Kennewick won all-around titles at the Level 5 State Championships on Sunday at TRAC in Pasco.
KENNEWICK -- Kayla Curtis of Kamiakin posted an all-around score of 35.875 en route to a first-place finish, teammate Danielle Cuevas finished second overall with a score of 34.0 and the Braves placed first with a team score of 138.575 and clinched the CBBN league championship Wednesday night at Southridge.
