A volunteer is needed to spend the summer at Jubilee Lake Campground serving as the camp host five days a week.
The campground is 12 miles northeast of Tollgate, Ore., and is the largest developed campground in the Umatilla National Forest, offering 53 campsites, four picnic areas and a 2.8-mile hiking trail around the 90-acre lake.
The camp host greets campers, provides information, cleans and maintains restrooms, and carries out minor maintenance.
Retired couples often apply to serve as hosts, living in their camper or motorhome, according to the Forest Service. They may be reimbursed for mileage and propane and given a food allowance.
