Spring chinook fishing is opening on the Snake River this month, but only for three days per week.
The limited days allow a longer fishing season.
April 19 fishing will open below Ice Harbor Dam from the Highway 12 bridge near Pasco upstream about seven miles to the dam, and below Lower Granite Dam from the Ilia Boat Launch to below the dam. Fishing is restricted just below the dams.
Those areas are open to fishing only Sunday through Tuesday each week.
April 23 fishing will open on the Snake River below Little Goose Dam to the Texas Rapids boat launch upstream of the mouth of the Tucannon River and also near Clarkston. Those areas are open only Thursday through Saturday each week.
The daily limit is six hatchery chinook, with no more than one an adult. Chinook must be at least 12 inches long
