The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is accepting public comment on increasing fees for some of its Mid-Columbia activities.
The increases include a new $3 fee to enter a lottery for wildflower tours at Hanford Reach National Monument.
Fish and Wildlife said the fees are needed to cover costs for the lottery and tours, according to a news release.
Lottery application fees will increase from $10 to about $12 to $14 for several hunting programs at McKay Creek, McNary and Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge areas. A waterfowl hunting season pass at the Headquarters Unit at McNary and the McCormack Unit at Umatilla will jump to $96 per hunter from $80.
