KENNEWICK -- Members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will teach a boating safety class Saturday at the Southridge Sports Complex.
The eight-hour class starts at 9 a.m. and will teach the fundamentals of boating safety, including for personal water craft. The legal aspects of boating are also covered. Those who attend can obtain a Boater Education Card for completion.
People must pre-register at Kennewick Recreation and Community Services at city hall, 210 W. Sixth Ave., or online at www.ci.kennewick.wa.us.
Cost is $6 per person for Kennewick residents and $9 for non-Kennewick residents. There also is a materials cost of $25 for the first family member and an additional $10 per family member who will use the same materials.
