The Tri-City Americans roster ranges from 16 to 20 years old. Within that group you would think there would be more than two guys in the running for the Movember title for the best mustache, but alas, there are not.
Goalie Eric Comrie looks to have a decent ‘stache coming in, but he admitted that he’s been growing it for a month or more. Connor Rankin’s mustache is light — in color and growth.
Atop the charts are Mitch Topping and Justin Hamonic. Jessey Astles was going to join the group, but I think he didn’t wanted to start with a clean shave.
Eleven days into the “grow,” both players appear to be whisker-to-whisker. But, what most don’t know is that Hamo shaved the night before the first picture and Topping still had a little growth. Having seen Hamo before he shaved, I’m leaning toward him winning this race.
Hamo has a page to donate to his cause. He and his teammate Eric Comrie have raised $1,215 so far. Here is a link that will show you what Hamo is capable of growing and to donate.
Movember is an annual, month-long event involving the growing of mustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer and other male cancers.
