Former Tri-City Americans captain Jarrett Toll will play for the University of Alberta this fall, joining former Tri-City teammate Johnny Lazo, who made his decision last weekend.
"It's nice to have a guy you've already played with for three years on your team," Toll said of Lazo. "It's definitely a positive. We will be getting a house together."
Toll, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound defenseman, plans to major in engineering.
"They have one of the top programs in the world," Toll said. "It's a really good program and the hockey program speaks for itself."
Never miss a local story.
Toll and Lazo helped lead the Americans to their first Western Conference title and a spot in the WHL finals, where they lost to Calgary.
