KENT -- Brooks Macek had a goal and two assists and Sergei Drozd assisted on three scores to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 6-3 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Sunday.
Six different players found the net for the Americans (44-18-1-2, 91 points), who are 2-1 to start their seven-game road trip. The Ams have a travel day before playing at Portland on Tuesday.
Seattle, long since eliminated from playoff contention, fell to 17-36-7-5, its 46 points just over half of Tri-City's total.
Half of the Americans goals came on the power play, including Kruise Reddick's 17th of the season to give Tri-City a 3-1 lead 7:29 into the second period.
Macek's tally, his 18th, also came on the man advantage, giving the Americans a 5-2 lead 4:26 into the third.
Just over a minute later, Zachary Yuen scored his first of the season to cap Tri-City's scoring.
Ams goalie Alexander Pechurskiy stopped 27 of the 30 shots he faced, though only 11 of those came after a busy first period.
