Isaac Benard went 3-for-4 with five RBIs, but Matt True allowed just two runs over six innings as the Hanford Flames beat the Tri-County Outlaws 9-2 on Monday in a Central Washington League Senior Legion game at Waits Field.
“We had a young kid pitching, and he came up awesome,” Flames coach Nat Roe said of the 15-year-old True. “Matt did a heck of a job pitching against a team of mostly 19-year-olds.”
Finn McMichael and Ryan Colson added two hits and two runs apiece for Hanford.
