Huskies beat Cougars again in baseball

Washington State dropped a 3-1 decision to the University of Washington Saturday afternoon at Gesa Stadium in Pasco. The Cougars (21-29, 8-18 Pac-12) surrendered two runs in the fifth and the Huskies (21-31, 12-14 Pac-12) held off a couple late WSU rallies to take the second game of the series. Washington State starter Scott Simon (3-4) suffered the loss after scattering eight hits over eight innings while striking out five and walking just one. Simon allowed three runs but only one was earned.
