Glacier forward Sebastian Adnell recorded a natural hat trick in the first period, lifting the Nationals to a 4-1 win over the Tri-City Outlaws in Northern Pacific Hockey League action Sunday at the Toyota Center.
The win moved Glacier (9-2-1), from Whitefish, Mont., into a tie for second with Eugene in the NorPac. Tri-Cities (8-8-1) fell to fourth in the standings.
Kyle Watne scored off an assist from Tucker Spooner to give Glacier a 1-0 lead 6 minutes, 11 seconds into the game. Spooner also assisted on all three of Adnell's goals later in the period, giving him four for the game.
Brett Myer put Tri-City on the board in the second period, scoring his 13th goal of the season off, assists from James Williams and Travis Questad. Myer is tied for fifth in NorPac goal scoring.
The Nationals outshot the Outlaws 47-19.
Tri-Cities returns to action at 6:30 p.m. Friday at home vs. the last-place Vancouver Vipers (2-13-0).
