Kayla De La Paz pitched a complete game, striking out six, and Menace NW made its two first-inning runs stand up for a 2-1 win over the Redmond Hurricanes at the U-18 NSA state softball tournament at TRAC in Pasco.
Miranda Foraker and Gabby Meza each drove in a run, while Jessica Rush went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.
Menace NW will play the Capitol Lady Outlaws Purple (Olympia) at 9 a.m. today at TRAC.
The National Softball Association is holding its state championships for teams that range in age from 10-18 years old this weekend at a number of fields throughout the Tri-Cities.

Tri-City Thunder 7, Cle Elum Crush 2: Baylea Watkins struck out six and gave up just two hits as the Tri-City Thunder defeated Cle Elum Crush in a second-round matchup at the U-12 NSA State Softball Championship at Lawrence Scott Park.
The Thunder opened the tournament with a strong 9-2 win against the Capitol Lady Outlaws.
Jaxs Conklin limited the Outlaws to one hit and struck out 10 over the five-inning contest, and Watkins backed her up with two hits, including a double.
The Thunder will go up against Washington Angels Y2K (Tri-Cities) at 1 p.m. today at Kennewick Civic Center.
The Angels played one game Friday, a 9-1 win against the SV Thunder Berg.
