Kennewick baseball player Trek Stemp and Kamiakin's Khadidja Toure (basketball) and Lindsey Kamphuis (softball) and are set to sign letters of intent to Division I universities.
Stemp will sign on the line to play ball at Washington State University in a ceremony at Kennewick High at 11:15 a.m. He is one of two local ballplayers headed to WSU, with Southridge's Matt Mendenhall also bound for Pullman.
Three more local players already are there: Richland's Brett Jacobs is a junior while Southridge twins Bryce and Ty Jackson are in their freshmen year.
Toure and Kamphuis will have their signing at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Kamiakin. Toure will play basketball for Oregon State, while Kamphuis will pitch for the Weber State softball team. Former Kamiakin standout Lyndsey Minnich is a senior infield at Weber.
