CAMAS -- A day after committing nine errors and giving up 11 unearned runs, the Burbank Diamondbacks bounced back with two sterling performances at the Southern Washington Senior Babe Ruth baseball state tournament in Camas.
The Diamondbacks downed the Richland Raptors 11-3 in a loser-out game as Jeremy Holden went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and six RBIs.
In the nightcap, the D-backs eliminated the Hoquiam Rock 15-3.
Neal Schuck tossed a three-hitter and struck out nine in five innings, and both he and Zach Worlinger had three hits at the plate.
Burbank plays Aberdeen at 11 a.m. today, with the loser settling for third place.
The winner goes on to play Pacific Power of Ridgefield, the beneficiary of Burbank's sloppy play Sunday, in the championship, needing a pair of wins for the crown.
