The host Spokane Indians jumped on Tri-City Dust Devils starter Ryan Warner for 10 runs in the first three innings, easily coasting to a 10-4 Northwest League victory Wednesday night at Avista Stadium.
Tri-City scored a run in the top of the first, but Spokane came back with five in the bottom half of the inning, then scored four more runs in the second.
Spokane added another run in the third to give the Indians a 10-1 lead.
Evan Van Hoosier and Cam Schiller each had three hits for Spokane.
Alec Mehrten had three hits for Tri-City, including a triple.
Marcos Derkes added two hits for the Dust Devils, who play in Spokane today for the second game of the three-game series.
At 11-16 in the second half, Tri-City falls 2 games back of Spokane and Everett for the North Division lead.
